When the subject matter is tough, our focus is on bringing the story to life with sensitivity and candour.
Our theme for this appeal was invisibility. Lily and Jasmine had spent their short lives trying to avoid the notice of the man who abused them. As painful as the story was to read, we urged donors not to look away – to make sure these children got the support they needed so they could begin to heal and finally feel safe enough to be seen.
Ensuring privacy for the children and family, we masked certain details while still telling a compelling story of desperate need, coupled with a beacon of hope that results from donor support.
As no real images could be used, Tone used their expertise to find stock images that would tell an authentic story to help connect the donor with the children.
