Amnesty International’s End of Year Fundraising Campaign
This powerful piece of work was developed at a time when the situation in Gaza was rapidly deteriorating. The campaign framed global attacks on the press not as an isolated issue, but as a deliberate step within the authoritarian playbook. Repressive powers silence the truthtellers who expose abuse and bear witness. This lets them control the story and act without scrutiny.
Our team presented a rallying cry to Amnesty supporters, who will not allow journalists to be silenced. Atrocities will not be hidden, nor can abusive authorities commit crimes with impunity. The campaign was a chilling warning. Attacking journalists is often the first step toward wider human rights violations.
The story we were telling became infinitely more challenging when Anas Al-Sharif was killed during campaign development. As a team we were determined to tell his story with sensitivity. The reason he died was the reason we were advocating in the first place. It meant so much to us to be part of creating powerful design that told his story.

Anas’ life was stolen from him because of his commitment to the truth. His voice may be gone, but our responsibility to help carry on his work is not.
