As an artistic and creative little girl, Mon hoped to follow in the footsteps of a beloved Auntie with the “dream” job of graphic designer for a Barbie magazine!
Plunging instead into the world of commercial marketing before she even left university, Mon delivered high-impact designs for global brands – fun, demanding, fast-paced work that “formed me, and made me strive to always do better”.
From there, Mon moved to one of the world’s biggest Spanish-language TV channels, where she developed a passion for animation, motion graphics, and digital design. After moving to Australia, Mon gained experience in print-based design and social media marketing – but found that the work didn’t fulfil her need for purpose in her life.
Since joining the Tone team, Mon has loved being challenged creatively and emotionally: “At times some of the stories we tell make me want to cry, but this is the most purposeful design I’ve ever worked on. I think our campaigns resonate so strongly with our clients and their donors because we do really care.”
Outgoing and energetic, Mon came to Australia for the outdoor lifestyle. When not at work, you’ll find her surfing, skateboarding, running, or bushwalking.
